Based on collaborative treatment planning, Kai uses a combination of approaches such as Polyvagal Theory, parts work, somatic experiencing, sex therapy, mindfulness practices, & psychodynamic theory.
Kai’s collaborations with couples, partners, & relationships generally take shape around the Gottman Method, which is an evidence-based approach focused on improving communication, managing conflict with care, strengthening friendship/intimacy, & building shared meaning over time. They have currently completed Levels 1, 2, & the Level 3 Practicum in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
